ANNOUNCEMENTS

EARLY RELEASE for Thursday, Mar 5th: The Lady Vikings will be playing for the state championship on Thursday at 3 PM at the Centriplex in Macon. In support of the Lady Vikings, school will be closed early on Thursday to give everyone a chance to get to the game. Primary School will release at 12:05, Upper Elementary School will release at 12:15, and the Middle and High Schools will release at 12:25. The lunchrooms will be preparing sack lunches to facilitate the early release times. This means that students not going to the game will be arriving home approximately 3 hours earlier than on a normal school day.

PEP BUS INFO: Three PEP buses will go to Macon in support of the Lady Vikings. One bus will be high school students only; one will be middle schoolers only; and one will be for the community. Riders on the pep buses must have $17.00 and a parent's written permission to the schools' offices, including a telephone number. (The money is $5.00 for the trip and $12.00 for admission to the game.)  The $5.00 must be paid by noon onWednesday to reserve the seat and allow the transportation director to confirm the number of buses needed.  The community bus can carry younger students as long as there is an adult relative accompanying the youth. (Written permission must be provided to driver and chaperone stating who the adult is and the children for whom they are responsible and a phone number.)  For the middle school bus and the high school bus, there must be at least one chaperone from the faculty (a certified teacher) on the bus. The "pep" buses will leave the high school at 1:00 -- gametime is 3:00.
