When presented the state trophy after the championship game, Coach Carter said, "You (Stratford) were the Cinderella team, but my girls were a group of hard working pumpkins."

Bunny Fuller, soph., was only non-senior on the All-State team.

Most outstanding forward at State Class C Tourney - Bunny Fuller tied with Betsy Longinotti of Straford
Most outstanding guard at State Class C Tourney - Karon Peed

Seniors Judy Riley, Denease McAbee, Karon Peed, and Kathy Peed graduate, having never started in a varsity basketball game which Taylor County lost.
